Eh... couldn't care less about gore. It only works if you are invested in the characters, otherwise it just becomes silly (which is fine if you're doing some type of horror comedy, which this isn't). Some sexy time is always fine, but again, it works best when it serves a purpose in the story...

I guess that depends on how you view old(er) movies. For example, I watched The Warriors before Clockwork Orange, and I still found Clockwork Orange amazing (without that meaning that I didn't like The Warriors anymore). I must've seen a dozen Dracula movies before I ever saw the original...

I only recently saw a video of someone, or a group of people actually, who are putting together some type of ultimate editions with the improved SFX/CGI and some cut scenes, but without the alterations.

I'm assuming you care about the art of cinema, but clearly you don't. You probably don't care about 2001: A Space Odyssey, or Lawrence of Arabia... but hey, no shame in that. Everybody has their own preferences and tastes. And I fully agree on Saving Private Ryan and Black Hawk Down as great...

Harsh. The man has made three of the greatest films ever, helped the career of some pretty important directors, and built a successful winery in the process. Hardly someone I'd call delusional or dumbass, no matter how much or little I like his latest work.

Saw it a couple of days ago and loved it. These new Apens movies are sooooo much better than 90% of the other franchises.

Everything I've read and seen makes me want to see this movie. Apocalypse Now was a complete nightmare of a production, and it's probably the best movie ever made.

The Bene Gesserit are a fascinating creation, and they are formidable at pulling the strings behind the curtains in the Herbert novels, so there's a lot to explore here... There's some good actors attached, so hopefully it'll be good.

I think I had DML's version way back when... Always nice to see some of the more obscure uniforms.
