Damn, just that small pic you can tell it looks good.
Still don’t get why Hot Toys never included that. Who wants to ruin their expensive $250-$350 figures by forcing them into a sitting position into cockpit or cycle? Just never made sense.
I don’t see why anyone getting one or two wouldn’t want all four. Who wouldn’t want Batman, Robin, Riddler and Two-Face when each figure can be had for a great price. They’ll look great together. Still can’t believe Batman and Robin actually exist. Those could have easily been another Iron Man...
As far as accessories or versions of TDK Batman that have never been done before, InArt could always do “Sky hook Batman” with his little parachute beacon launcher.
Hmm so it could be another 1989 and/or Returns 2.0 then
Wonder if this Armory 2.0 is testing the waters to see what the market will do. They just announced the deluxe ‘89 Batman 2.0 is about to ship so I doubt they’d release another ‘89 but after today, who knows?
Shame that’s how Hot Toys is...
So you were right and this ended up being the “new” Bale.
Do you know if the “new” Keaton you mentioned will be an Armory vault Keaton or maybe the Batcave computer with Batman + Turtle Neck/Jeans Bruce?
That would be funny if the TDKR Armory release went the way of Young Flash and got cancelled. Then they just move their resources onto this TDK release.
What a weird decision after just updating everyone with the head/cowl last week. That thing is already old news by the very company that...
I think the figure and photos look phenomenal Scooby.
With Hot Toys over saturating the market with all these Bale Batman, you’re going to have a lot of people selling what they have in pursuit of the very best thing. A lot of opportunities for collectors that have “missed out” to pick up a...
They actually did cannibalize their own sales. So many people saying they’ve cancelled their TDKR Armory in favor of this one.
This one is cheaper and has more value (all the accessories and articulated Armani Bruce vs CrossFit wax museum statue) too. I remember when the TDKR one was first...
Yup. There’s even more when you think about it.
Most of the figure releases are necessary to have a “definitive” one. That original Armory belt was so innovative 10 years ago and they haven’t done it again since. I loved how you could customize the belt with the different cases and cylinders...
And that part of the collector base are half of the problem. It’s compulsive collecting at its finest.
Some day in the not too distant future, there will be a market filled with old MMS71s, DX02s, DX12s, QS001s, Armory 1.0s, DX19s, QS019s, Armory 2.0s, Armory 3.0s when 2030s Batman debuts.
Hot Toys, to me, just come off as little scheming weasels. They don’t actually do anything new. Then they see JND, InArt, JazzInc. doing their thing, which
lights a fire under their ass. It’s pathetic.
They’ve already done an Armory before, 3 times over. It was $625 with Batman/Bruce/Alfred...
I would just wait. The TDKR Armory version is already obsolete. This one has a better armory, more accessories, a better Bale, etc. etc.
BUT
We know they’re going to release ANOTHER TDK/TDKR DX version. That one will have the faceplates that are missing on this these past two along with an...
Hot Toys is pathetic.
The TDKR Armory hasn’t even been released yet and just got an update last week, and they’re already announcing another TDK suited Batman. That’s three now in the past four years. Talk about flooding the market. We were all just joking last week about them doing another TDK...
If I were Joost, I wouldn’t touch Nolan or Snyder. The Nolan Batman market is over saturated as it is, nobody needs another Bale or Ledger Joker.
I’d go for the Burton and Schumacher stuff. A JazzInc Arnold Freeze with all those LED lights would be something special.
