    Star Wars: The Acolyte

I said this years ago on these very boards (because this conversation won't go away) ... the OT was made in a time and place where mainstream entertainment had a lot of white people in it. Their casting choices were based on societal norms for the time period, not on 'what the galaxy far far...

Jazzinc Dioramas 1/6 Ultimate Catwoman (Batman Returns, 1992)

This is ... shocking. I had a stunning Sean Dabbs sculpt that was well-painted on a meticulous kitbash that cost me a pretty penny. During THE GREAT PURGE I sold it off not least of which being it was poseable but fragile. I think I'm going to get this. :thud:

Hot Toys Spider-Man: No Way Home - 1/6th scale Spider-Man (final suit)

There are absolutely some cool improvements on this figure (neck seam being a big one) but I agree about the masked portrait. They always do something weird with the Holland upper arms, too, and the blue material is too thick although I'm not sure what they can actually do at this scale...

    Megalopolis (May 17, 2024)

*sigh* ... I'm not exactly young anymore but I work with some *dinosaurs* and we still see stuff outta them that's problematic ... every single production I work on has a mandatory anti-harassment seminar in addition to the mandatory union seminars I have to pass. I get that Coppola is old and...

Hot Toys Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) - Spider-Man: No Way Home

While it's possible they'll release a Spider-Man 3 version, I can't imagine they'll make any radical change other than offering a younger looking head sculpt.

Star Wars Saga (OT/PT/ST) Discussion Thread

My friends tell me their young kids like it. I also wonder how much of that 'watched' data is people fast forwarding to the Duel of the Fates and then switching it off ...

THREEZERO - Transformers - General Discussion Thread

Heya -- the Premium scale Bumblebee from the 2018 'Bumblebee' film -- can anyone who owns one tell me what size button cell batteries it takes?

    Superman (July 11th, 2025)

I don't like the suit but I'm not concerned about it looking loose or ill-fitting, I just assume they'll fix that in post.

Who me? I've been creeping around ... no one's ever really gone. :chase

Probably not in our (OG fans) lifetimes.

Star Wars Saga (OT/PT/ST) Discussion Thread

I've heard this sentiment many times over the years and it's not that I'm an ST fan (quite the opposite) but I can't imagine Disney (of all corporate entities) ever walking back so great an undertaking as the entire ST. There is no world I can see in which that would happen. Not even by using...

    Superman (July 11th, 2025)

If there's one thing I hate, it's meaningless panel lines. Especially after years of this lazy design style from the MCU. I've gone back and looked at the image a few times, and think I see that Gunn is going for a quirky, 'workaday' image of Superman to maybe hearken back to some older...

    Hot Toys C-3PO (ROTJ)

Not that it's a deal breaker, but one thing I haven't seen mentioned (or maybe it got by me) is that the figure has a rich, warm gold tone. I re-watched ROTJ scenes the other day and it's a cooler metallic hue, or at least appears that way to my eyes.

    Star Wars: The Acolyte

The corporate agenda is profit, not morality or equality.
