Hot Toys Spider-Man: No Way Home - 1/6th scale Spider-Man (final suit)

….I’m sorry for calling you an inanimate object. I was upset.

Hot Toys Spider-Man: No Way Home - 1/6th scale Spider-Man (final suit)

While I dig this figure and plan on getting it, I do have to say the neck looks oddly long. Could be a simple matter of the head not being fully pushed down on the neck. But, I've been seeing it in more and more pics. Easy fix I suppose, by simply shortening the the peg.

Hot Toys Spider-Man: No Way Home - 1/6th scale Spider-Man (final suit)

Yeah I get that. Plus, it’s a hair style only see for a moment on film, so it looks a bit off to me as well. But overall, the quality and design hasn’t appeared to have changed much at all from proto to production.

Hot Toys Spider-Man: No Way Home - 1/6th scale Spider-Man (final suit)

Yeah the blue areas always come off a little thick and plastic-y. But the body proportions under the suit have been improving.

How so? They look like the same figure to me.

Hot Toys THE BATMAN -1/6 Batman / Batman deluxe / Batman + batsignal set

I removed the pants. Then snipped the single stitch of his bodysuit under his groin. Then inserted soft black foam pieces with a tweezers, going in between the body/bodysuit from the waist opening. Though thinking back, I may have trimmed a little foam off the body suit to slim his waist down as...

The Dark Knight Rises - 1/6th scale Batman Armory with Bruce Wayne Collectible Set

“Furthermore, the figure also features a newly developed Batman cowled head with separate rolling eyeballs” So we at least get pers.

1/6 Hot Toys Batman & Batmobile - Batman Begins

Yes the eye sticks are more fragile than HT’s. But I haven’t had one snap, but I agree they could be stronger. That may have a lot to do with the material available. I honestly haven’t seen any other custom maker offering rolling eye pieces, so I’m not sure what the material/design needs are for...

1/6 Hot Toys Batman & Batmobile - Batman Begins

For sure. His painted eyes are also freaky real looking. As far as durability tests go, I’ve purchased both painted/finished and unpainted pieces from him, handled the hell out of them sanding and painting and don’t find his pieces any more, or less, durable than any other custom 3D printed...

Someone here did try that and said it had no effect. But may be worth a second shot?

Don’t listen to that nonsense man. Nothing stupid about spending money on custom hand made pieces you enjoy. Cost is all relative.

Perhaps. Someone tried Cape Cod cloth and it did nothing. The trick is to find a thinner that removes the orange weathering, without destroying the delicate gold paint under it.

Queries about Hot Toys Mark I to VII

It's a trade off really. Sideshow's sculpts are more accurate, but their paintwork is really crude and sloppy by comparison to Hot Toys, which has less accurate proportions but are finished far more intricately and painted with precision.

Here's a quick side by side of the 1/6 Mark VI (I don't want to unpack my IV) and the 1/4 Mark IV. It's difficult to get exact perspective and angles etc. given their different scales, but it's close enough to make some comparisons. Proportionally, the 1/6 head is a tad larger and sits higher...

    Hot Toys C-3PO (ROTJ)

Agreed. Though I think that may be the result of film grading and filtering, where warmer reds and yellows are cooled to not look harsh onscreen. But I agree. And would prefer a less saturated gold.

Queries about Hot Toys Mark I to VII

I think the fact that people see little difference between the scales has more to do with how well HT captures details in 1/6 scale these days. They want to see new details in the larger scale, but there aren’t any new details left that aren’t already on the 1/6 version. The benefit of the 1/4...

1/6 Hot Toys - BvS: Dawn of Justice - Batman

Thanks. Yeah that's the original cowl. Not a great sculpt, but serviceable enough. The suit comes off easy, and it slipped back over his beefy arms with no issues. I just went slow and careful.

Queries about Hot Toys Mark I to VII

I have six or seven of the diecast 1/6 Iron Man figures, and I do enjoy them on the shelf and love the heft of diecast. BUT, for me personally, there is absolutely no contest that the quarter scale figures just blow them out of the water as far as details and overall proportions go. The Mark 3...

    Hot Toys C-3PO (ROTJ)

And that, to me, is the fun of modding. If I don't like a choice Hot Toys or Inart made, I like to f**k around and see if I can get it closer to my own preference. "Screen Used" accuracy and "On Screen" accuracy are two different things. I lean towards "on screen" myself.
