In the pictures of the front of the cape it looks like you can see the grid pattern of the material underneath the rubbery outside (where the light shines on the part that comes over his shoulder). Looks like pleather, which means flaking in a few years. I don't get why these companies are still...
So little activity in this forum. Have there been any updates at all about this figure? I wish Present toys were more interactive so we know when these things are arriving. So far they seem to be behind on the majority of their items. Wasn't this supposed to release a year ago?
So, how do you all think the silicone bodies will hold up? I want to pose the L with his arms bent in his classic chair sit pose, but I'm worried it'll split at the elbows. Do you think the materials feel different than Tbleague or HT rubbery bodies?
I would have thought so as well. I think I remember Kit opening the preorder window a while after it was gone the first time. Maybe that was because of cancelled orders or more stock? I'm not really sure. It's even surprising that Gandalf was behind Aragorn.
I wonder if this will be one of those sculpts that looks a bit better in hand. It looks a bit soft here, but it's definitely better than the proto. I keep wondering if I should order this or wait until people have this in hand.
Is the hound ninja the same property as ruthless blade or is it just one company making all the figures. I've seen the videos on YT for ruthless blade, but I havent heard of the myriad of faces brand.
Kit said GT is going to do a preorder run sometime in the future didn't he? Based on this forum, I think it'll be pretty successful. Who knows when that'll be, but I would think it's somewhat soon.
Good to hear! Always good to add more stores to the reliable category. The whole TW thing really shook the collector community when it comes to seller trust.
So, did they give you a shipping time estimate for the main body? I got it from SGD, and I havent got a shipping notice yet. Paid it in...
Are you still glad you got the silicone body? I guess the benefit is that it's mostly covered up, so if it rips, you can't even tell, lol.
I'd be down with GT selling a jointed/silicone body pack for people to have back ups.
I actually don't mind it now that I have it in hand. Sculpt is decent with proper lighting.
The masked sculpt is a giant pain to get lit, though. The batteries have to be installed inside the head approx 1/2 inch deep. Why wouldn't they make the insert removeable?
I might pick up a spare...
