Plenty forums would get you an instant warning/infraction for it and if one didn't change it, somebody would disable your avatar. If you put it back, a months vacation and of course, sign up under a new ID because of it, permanent ban including the original account.
Not that it offends me but it can offend some women, men too as you know how society is these days, but there is a place for these things and if they want to do it they should stick to those type of forums.

I hope Dave's gurus can implement something that if it's out of spec you can't click submit, like the 10 characters limit.

Even some sites have strict rules for both dimension and filesize limit on avatars and signatures due to bandwidth use/bills. This place is getting a bit better regarding that but for a while it was starting to feel like myspace garbage. Anything goes even how hideous it is pulsing away on your screen. Some are nice when subtle but as I'm sure you know, not everyone plays by those rules and has to have it in your face trying to give you a seizure.

We are talking about statues which I have on both my avatar & signature here. I'm promoting art. I don't have half naked or nude models anywhere like a lot of peeps here. Its not like I am soliciting stuff to sell underneath my signature. If this forum didn't have such an issue with nude statues, then I wouldn't even have to put the Weta link here.

If it wasn't so serious it would be hilarious. Your promoting isn't elegant though. Especially since you've shown your strong views about all this that there's no doubt about it now that it's attention seeking.

Sure whatever?? You have your taste I have mine. It doesn't matter if my statues are male or female; the angled shots are always used. That's why it doesn't look generic like others here.

Some of what you have is art some of it I'm sorry is toy porn. I don't blame Dave for not allowing you to have that stuff here. I'm really surprised you're allowed to have it at S&F.

It's got nothing to do with statues. It's your approach and ideology lies my problem. You come across it's all about you, why you deserve such things. You're a grown man... act it.

I don't go strutting off on other peoples forums demanding change of rules because I think I should be entitled more than what's already in place. Rules are rules, if I don't like it (and it's been rare for me to ever do so) go somewhere else. Sure it sounds unfriendly but rules are rules.
My only gripe here for past years was rules were too relaxed compared to other forums I was on before I signed up here. But saying that it was a different atmosphere when I joined here in 2008. It was a huge bunch of friendlier collectors that didn't thrive on profit or selling or the Facebook/twitter society thats self entitlement as well as others that seem to think it's their job to outdo others to feel superior. There's been a serious, serious ego problem here for past years.

I hope Dave can turn it around back to that more respectful place it was back then.

The sig limit is more aesthetic and load times than bandwidth/file space. And Vs and Ink's are too large - the 500 wide isn't that of an issue, but 150 pixels tall is the limit - both for image and text.

Unfortunately the redesign will incorporate banner ads, such as the sideshow and Entertainment Earth ones on the landing page - so like statueforum, onesixthwarriors, etc. there will be ads but they will only be relevant to collectors.
