Hello there, I'm very proud to be a part of this forum, I hope to be as good as every people around here :
Here my work and 'hope you like it.
Here we go......

Orlando Bloom as Legolas in "The Lord of the Rings" Trilogy :

I was pretty disapointed when I open the box, Legolas looks like James "Spike" Marsters from Buffy, he was to serious, too muscular, too tall and what about the hairsculpt (c'mon Sideshow, some of them needs real hair).

Tutorial :
- add him real barbie hair.
- repaint the face.
- change the body (changing his boots was a living hell) to a 301 Medicom body.
- fit his clothes to his new body (cut and sew a lot of stuff).
- repaint his arrows and his saber (Sideshow fool us about the scabbards).
- I add him the 12" DID Legolas belt and cloak (repaint and weathered, from grey to green).
- rebuilt and repaint (green to brown) his forearm protection, they are now functional.
Enjoy !

Re: C-Phan work on......

that's some great detailed work there.

Even though I was happy with the hairsculpt they gave us, I like what you've done with the real hair there.

You could do with taking some photos with his head in a different position though, having his head down like that on all of them makes his head look like it's too big and heavy for his little weak neck and he can't hold it upright :lol

I love the detail on the arm guards (whatever they're supposed to be called)

Re: C-Phan work on......

Nice job. The added hair looks really good and I am especially surprised at how much better (from your pictures) the DiD cloak looks on him. A bit too short, but I like how it hangs better.

:clap

Re: C-Phan work on......

BRAVO! Love the variances! He looks great!
And I agree about doll hair. Not against it at all, if it is done well and doesn't look toyish. Your application is not. Just plain super job!

Good job on the Legolas, mon ami!

Re: C-Phan work on......

Thanks for all your comments and your warm welcome, I'm very thankful about the comments coming from great artist like Darren, Figurmasterles and others I probably forget.
Thanks again, the next should be redux Hasbro General Grievous.

Re: C-Phan works on......

Hello everyone.
12" General Grievous from Hasbro :
He's not that bad actually but he needs to be more close to the movie, especially the details (he's too small, his eyes are too sweet and what about his chest).
Remember from what I started :

I cut off and separate almost he's entire body parts to make'em rotate.
I have also empty some element of his neck, chest and legs.
The cape is totally handmade (look the old crappy, shiny red & silver one).

Next post should be the finish version.

Re: C-Phan work on......

Here's my General Grievous redux :

Eyes membrane

Top to bottom

Grievous can moves, almost he's entire body parts (except his thigs, maybe later)
The Last shot is not only for fun, but to show how tall he's now.
Hope you like it, enjoy !
