I'm collecting more Batman stuff than anything else but would like one Predator to go along with my collection. The one I am seeking is a 1/6th version of the P1. Do you guys think I should jus' snag the Classic Predator while it's still available or gamble on the chance Hot Toys will release a newer version of the P1? I'm not interested in a 1/4 scale figure.
You may aswell get a Classic now. Because even if HT do make a p1 it will be months and months and months away before we actually get it in hand. And thoes are months you could have Classic sat on your shelves then can sell to get the p1

Can someone in detail explain to me how classic pred isn't P1 pred?
He's missing the bicep armor on his left arm, he has no trophy necklaces, and his helmet is damaged with an eye exposed.

I thought he had two helmets?
The Hot Toys figure, yes. They included a non-damaged helmet as a bonus to beef up the value I guess.

Uhm, they're different characters.
Yea I know they're not the same, but I always thought you can put classic next to Arnold and no one would know the difference...someone here posted that you can't pull it off...just what is aesthetically so different that no matter what you can't make him the pred from P1?

Figure-wise, the face is different and there are also some other differences, in the shoulder cannon, pouch, absence of bone trophies, and some other minor differences. I personally can't see P1 in it, even after a conversion, although it is very similar. But if you can see P1 in it and wish to use it as such, just do it. What matters is that we enjoy them and like them. I myself prefer the old P1 and in that one I do see P1, and I have both of them.
In the movies their differences are greater.

Yeah I see what you mean. I'm not really into minute details...well, when it comes down to particular things of course....in this case, predators. Even with aliens, some here can point out differences or similarities without even thinking about it, whereas a casual fan such as myself won't see these things unless pointed out.
I'm a fan of course and own the preds from predators. Gonna pick up classic to complete the set.

Definitely do it, it's an awesome figure, I'm sure you won't regret it
. And I doubt a new 1/6 P1 from Hot Toys will be released soon.Honestly I just can't accept that headsculpt as p1, no matter how good the paint work.
that aside there are minor differences in shoulder cannon, gauntlet and armour detailing, but normal folk should look right past that.

Is about as P1 as i made my classic look. Didnt have patience to add the mini wires to the plasma cannon, though i did on the bio. And i didnt have any little tiny quills i could of put on his chest or shoulder & his a$$ pouch. I want a full on Jungle Hunter
