Boring outfit, but the overall display with the throne, green threads and themed backdrop is definitely going to pop in the detolf. Plus, I really loved the finale
I think this will actually be my first Artisan.
Yikes. That sculpt doesn't look like Mark at all. It doesn't even look like deep-fake Mark. It doesn't even look like Mark-lookalikes like Sebastian Stan or that guy from that Star Wars youtube channel.
I cannot believe someone at Hot Toys looked at this sculpt and thought, "yeah, this is it"...
Justin's review:
TLDR: He's mixed on it. Hates the outfit design, the figure is okay. Head sculpt isn't the best Hemsworth HT has ever done. Worried about the pleather on the pants, lightning effect pieces look like s***.
Reminds me of the old Batman Begins days where you had Hot Toys and Medicom competing, and then from out of nowhere Takara comes out swinging with a Batman Begins figure that was considered better than the other two.
Good times. We need more competition among these companies. Maybe not Star Ace...
lol embargo on toy reviews. What a crazy thing. I mean, it happened to movies and games I guess it makes sense high end figures would eventually have them too and reviewers have to play along.
Good point about Forever. I guess that is technically a sequel. Yeah I liked the Kilmer suit but then they gave him a more angular suit later in the same movie :ROFLMAO:
I'm hoping maybe Justin will try head swaps in his review. He does that from time to time on figures from different companies.
In any case, it'd be worth a shot.
Tribalism is a young man's game.
At this point, I'm lucky in that that I can afford either of these... and actually both. Might get the HT Bats while I wait the 6-8 months for my Inart pre-order to arrive. And then, I'll put the Inart Bruce head on the HT body. Hopefully it'll fit without much...
