There’s approx. 0 chance they add another sculpt for no additional cost :lol
Not saying that will happen but most likely as a separate add on to the figure with the other accessories from part 2. That would probably be about as much as a standard version.

All they said on FB was with the amount of feedback they got, Part 2 is something they'll consider. If anything, it'll just be a separate Paul figure making him match Part 2. I'd love a "Part 2 Accessory Pack" but I doubt it's something they would do.

They're not giving this blue eyes, it's from the first movie. Best bet is you just paint them yourself if you need them that badly.

The accessories say otherwise. It's more of a mix with early events of part 2.

I think it'll be more on this that may highly prevent it from happening. Even if they did add the blue eyes sculpt and brown cloak, I think the only thing left is the weathered look of the stillsuit. Technically, almost all details will still be accurate except for the dirt.

But that’s not all it though. Ideally, the portrait would need to be updated to match Timothée’s appearance in Part Two. His hair is also different. At that point, might as well just make a new/clean and separate release…

But hey, looks like I’m in the minority and most would be content with half-assed work ala Hot Toys style.

Only from a weathering aspect and people have no problem buying HT's that are insufficiently or overly weathered and then refining the aesthetic to their own preference.

I'd say it depends on InArt's future intentions and how well POs are going for Paul atm.

If they believe Dune and Paul are popular and profitable enough to warrant a full figure from both parts 1 & 2 then there's no need to do anything here; people will just have to suck it up when a part 2 Paul is announced and decide if they want to keep their clean Stillsuit Paul and get a sandy Stillsuit Paul with blue eyes.

If InArt find that Dune merch isn't flying off the shelves and they don't foresee a part 2 figure as a viable option- and, even if they do, they realise they can't announce it until he part 1 Paul is fully released or they'll risk mass cancellations- a basic accessory pack allowing us to add the necessary parts to create a part 2 Paul and weather the figure ourselves would be most beneficial to the community.
The former could mean waiting until late 2025 before a part 2 Paul can even be announced and, by then, we'll be on course for Dune; Messiah and gravitating towards the next version of Paul.

The weathering isn’t the only detail that’s different……

INART prides themselves on accuracy, or at least I thought. It’s Hot Toys that takes the easy way out and sometimes gives you a 2-in-1 or throw in accessories even if it’s not accurate to the source. If you’re okay with that, that’s fine I guess. I’m personally not as it would give INART the green light to take short cuts.

An “upgrade kit” is insanely inaccurate no matter how you dice it. It’s erroneous.

And yes, unfortunately this release should’ve been ironed out a while ago, I’d say back in 2022. If they would’ve announced it back then, we wouldn’t be here. By this point in time, this should’ve been a Part 2 Paul as it’s the most “definitive.” But that’s not the case and that doesn’t mean that we should just forego accuracy.

Can you list the differences between the Stillsuit Paul wears in part one compared to the same Stillsuit he’s wearing in part two?
I’m intrigued to know what they changed beyond adding sand stains.
Not talking about the robes. Just the suit details.

I was referring to the head sculpt and robes.

So the suggested accessory pack containing the new head and robes would be completely sufficient for those of us willing to weather the suit ourselves to create a part 2 Paul- yet you would still consider that ‘insanely inaccurate no matter how you dice it.’ ?

It would be nice if Inart decides to do such an accessory pack but I really don't see it happening especially when the assumption it's a one and done line for them. They could do a Feyd and include part 2 Paul headsculpt for the premium set but I'd rather have a Jessica figure though.

I just can't see a third party offering a blue-eyed headsculpt that will match Inart's level. It'll be from some customizer but that'll be at a price I'm not willing to pay for.

I thought you were only asking for the robes without a headsculpt that’s more accurate to Chalamet’s appearance in Part 2.

Overall, it’d need to be a separate figure. Why would we have to weather it ourselves/do that….? INART wouldn’t sell a product where one specific look is inaccurate. It’s factual. It’d be inaccurate. I really hope they don’t listen to this idea and best case scenario, they simply revise it to a Part 2 Paul Muad’Dib.

I really thought we were all about accuracy up in here lol.

Best case scenario is to obtain licensing for Part Two ASAP and revise/optimize the current Part 1 Paul and convert it to a P2 Paul. Then, make P2 Chani and call it. If they don’t revise, they should still make P1 Chani.

SPOILERS: these “Part 1” looks appear at the beginning of Part 2.

The only accessory that's really Part Two specific are the worm hooks, and those did technically appear in the first movie -- they were just being held by Liet Kynes and not Paul. Same deal for the thumper. Everything else is either something Paul wore or handled in Part One.

Part Two accessories would be the tan robe, the Water of Life jug, the scuba breather thing they wear out in the desert, etc.

Feels like splitting hairs at this point on what's accurate or not. Sure it was there in part 1 but not Paul specific. The way Inart markets those accessories reflect part 2 events. The exclusive desert mouse figure is in reference to Paul's name in part 2.

Maybe they should have just done a 2 pack with an actual part 2 Paul as the second figure but at this point I can see that pissing off people.

Inart took their time with the official announcement and even with good intentions of including some part 2 accessories, it just somewhat creates some negative feedback against them.

I'm guessing since they won't be doing a Dune 2 Paul they have tried to find a happy middle ground with this release. Aside from some costume weathering, he mostly looks the same in part 2. I can't see a reason for them to be doing a second Paul considering how many other figures they are still waiting to launch from other licenses over the next year or two.

I can’t see the touted 1/6 sandworm happening, it would come in at about 60 meters long and they’ll recognize that many collectors are already short of space now.

I’m not fussed about the Part 2 Atreides look, this looks great and I’m thinking of ordering a standard for the hooded look, on top of the nailed-on rooted order of 1.

It is done. I PO'ed the standard version. I own many fashion dolls, and one of the things I like about action figures is consistent sculpted hair. I dont want to worry about receiving messy hair. I dont want to take care of it, I just want beautiful figures.

I have a long relationship with Dune. When I was 17, I had a catastrophic L4 disk blowout which put me in bed for 3+ months. At 17. It derailed my college plans. All that summer I was in bed and the agony is something I will never forget. I could not sit. I could only lie.

My mom went to the library for me on a regular basis. One of the books she chose for me was Dune. She didnt know any better, lol. It was this huge heavy hardback book, dark green, with just one word on the front. Dune. Never heard of it. We didnt have the internet back then.

What the hell is this?! I thought. What a mysterious book. What does this mean? I had to find out. So I did.

All during that long torturous summer, Arrakis and Giedi Prime helped distract me and keep me entertained. There was a whole new universe to learn.

This figure will honor this decades-long fascination.

I had been on the fence about this for several days but after seeing more pictures and reading the last comment by @Ramatuelle I also went ahead and called TimeWalker Toys and pulled the trigger (standard version $359). I love buying from TW and have been shopping there more frequently over the last couple of years and have always been happy with them.

I also read Dune in the 80’s when I was in high school and really enjoyed it (the movie back then not so much) and I was very happy to see a new adaptation of the story on film.

I was concerned about getting this since the rest of my collection is all super heroes, mostly Marvel and some DC so I was worried about how this InArt Paul Atreides will fit in. But at any rate hopefully InArt will make at least one more figure from Dune, if not at least AugToys is making some solid looking Dune figures.
