For some reason this one was a little overpriced compared to other SSR Batman figures. My pre-order at OSK was $360.
If I remember correctly, the earlier SSR figures were more like large custom runs rather than mass produced manufactured 3rd party figures, which was the cause for the higher price on this and a few others, but the lower price on more recent figures.

This is becoming extremely frustrating. So after receiving a message from Knight Studios/SSR saying that it would be shipped by the 25th or 26th, I sent another message asking about any shipping info and this is the response I got...

This is starting to be a joke and I don't think it's going to ship.at all.

I have faith that it will eventually ship. Just have the feeling that they are a bit disorganized. I messaged them asking for an update and will post when I hear back.

wow...this looks like an old Mego figure from the 70s.
Far from the prototype proportions. And that plastic belt on a 360$USD figure.....not acceptable
I was thinking it looks like one of those DC Direct 13" figures from 15 years ago. Now I have to decide if I want to eat the $48 deposit or pay $300 to be disappointed with it.

You know, I have to agree with you. As long as it has taken for this figure to be released, there is room for improvement. At this point, I just want the figure minus the setbacks.

Yeah....was on the fence for a while on this one as I am a Jim Aparo fan.
But since I did not hear many good comments on SSR's previous releases, I held up...and glad I did.

Maybe you can use the suit to custom make something better ?
But 300$ for a suit s...ks. for sure

Wow, it definitely looks nothing like the proto. I figured for $160 it's not a bad base figure to springboard off from, but at $300+ it's not a board I'm looking to spring off of.

I guess I’m in the minority here, but I think it looks pretty good. Can’t wait for it to finally ship.

Yea, looks pretty bad in those photos. However, those type photos never look good and are very reminiscent to the first in-hand photos we used to get of HT figures that would put everyone in a stir. Still, I never thought that the proto looked like a $300+ figure let alone now. They really should've ditched the Phicen/TBleague body and used their new inhouse body. Given how long this has taken to release, they had the time to make the switch IMO.

Oooof I waffled on this back and forth, but held off because I'm not in love with silver age. But gees this is their worst effort so far. I'm glad DKR looks great. Hopefully gaslight comes out ok too.

I have their hush, Batman, which came out great but looking at figures like inart I can’t justify the price anymore for these figures, I don’t see the value.

Agreed. While the belt was a different sculpt and slightly better color on the proto, it was still a single piece of low resolution rubber. And the Mego looking gauntlets and complete lack of transition to the gloves was already present there. With some proper futzing and better photography, it seems you can this quite close to the prototype.

I actually think this belt is a bit of an upgrade over the proto. That one had the capsules kind of "embedded" into the belt, which is more of a golden age look. This one has the capsules on top, the way it is in the silver age/bronze age look.

Agree that the figure is (way) overpriced, but still looking forward to finally receiving it.
