Depends, but probably not. Keaton was OK in the role, but the movies were pretty silly in retrospect, and I just don't have much love for them.
imo, in retrospective the (Burton) Batman movies are still solid as a rock. I could still watch them all over.
They had a different approach than the more mature Nolan movies of today, but the Burton-gothic dark approach also fitted the batman-character perfectly.
(don't forget Anton Furst did win the very first oscar for a batman movie)
And don't forget the first movie was a milestone for the comic book movie genre! Today it's still considered as the one that triggered the whole comic book movie industry (with some good and some bad results)
I can say that it was Tim Burton that stirred my interest of batman as a dark superhero. If Batman Forever and Batman & Robin would have been my first encounters with the character, I wouldn't have been a big batman-fan today I can assure.
So, as much as I like and love the new batman movies, I did grow up with the old movies and it was my first encounter with the character!
As for a Keaton-Batman is concerned, HELL YEAH bring it on!!
I would love it if Hot Toys would make us one of these with the same accuracy as they do now for the current Batman franchise!
of course a 1/6th scale Batmobile (from oscar winning designer Furst) would be awsome as well (still the best looking Batmobile for a fact!)
The whole Burton batman franchise deserves a 1/6th scale line, especially Bats + his ride
also found something interesting on the board from 'The Mike' in a old thread:
"
People had been reporting that the reason that HT had spent so much money is because they got a Master License for the Batman franchise. Meaning they could go back and do the prior films. Its been speculated that they'll go back once finished with TDK and revisit the prior films like they have with the Predator license so it'll be interesting if all of that gets flushed out. It'll also be interesting to see what likenesses they'll be able to use since a lot of that is after the fact and the actor's likeness agreements if any may not still be on the books over at WB."
