I love the detail, but the sculpt is looking way too gaunt to be Hugh IMHO. Can't wait to see completed pictures though. Keep at it!

Its Not quiet House. Dwing has it down with widening the face and the eyes appear just a tiny bit too high. The elements are there and the detail is phenomenal, incredible job.

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about. Hugh Laurie does have a long thin face.

He does, but the head sculpt is too long, I took a front on photo of hugh laurie as house and the sculpt, and checked them over each other, and the mouth/nose are a bit too low

All people do in angled shots like the one you posted.



Straight on shows the sculpt is a little too long.

To me it looks like the sculpt is dead on, Laurie's face is thin and it is a bit elongated. I think it looks fantastic.

it is a great help to me.

well, my photos have distortion of camera lens.
i always used sony compact camera for working.(finished photos-DSLR)
so, my sculpt is not too long or big nose, better than photos.

anyway, this discussion and advise is very helpful to me.
i'll do more re-touching on my sculpt, do my best.
