All the pictures I've ever seen and even the movie itself, look like the darker version you made. Why did you go off the archlight photo? They're probably not even the same ones Heath used.

I took some better pictures to illustrate how the color looks in person, its darker but not as dark as my first attempt.

I think the in between ones look perfect.

Again this is a question of screen accuracy versus real life accuracy. In real life the gloves are very light and that pic of the costume on display more or less shows the right colour.

On screen they were darker and had a hint of blue due to the blue filter used throughout the film.

I think the in between colour you have now represents the on screen look fairly well.

Some iris detail and touching up on lips and hair and they're done! Face will not be shiny after dull coat.
