I caved and POed the standard as well, I don’t have any PT figures. My only Star Wars Figures are 2 Mandos, various Fetts and Obi Wan Vader.
But Darth Maul is, at least for me, the iconic villain of the PT trilogy. And this is a great looking figure.
If they want this to be part of the existing 6 movie franchise, then good luck. It will be so disconnected because they have to recast Aragorn, Gandalf and pretty much everybody from the original movies.
Absolutely no interest in that kind of inbetween storyline. Why not go back further in...
Just got a waitlist conversion for that figure after such a long time. I will not use it, but keep my classic suit from the first game. So good luck to anyone who has this waitlisted. 🤞
The blue of the neck piece and the blue of the sculpt is different, I cannot unsee it. 😩
Also that gap between sculpt and neck (but maybe that’s just not pushed in correctly):
I slightly favour the black version so far, since this will be my only Miller representation of Batman. For a blue/grey Batman I would not choose the Miller interpretation as my first choice.
Black with blue inner cape would be nice
Tempted by this, but I don’t know anything about the quality of SSR.
I also tend to the standard version since I don’t really feel the unmasked sculpt.
Unboxed my Vader today and I am glad that the stock cape actually isn't that bad, in my opinion. That's good so the decision between another drape cape or a wired cape was easy and I ordered the wired one from Jax and will use the stock as my drape cape.
Nice photos. 👍
The belt and crotch (are those two stock?) are not my cup of tea though, they somehow make the figure look a bit cheap. They are also sitting to high (his nuts must be hurting) and crooked.
Edit: It is not the belt per se but that the two control boxes are to close to the belt...
