That's actually giving me ideas.

Swap the sculpts between Dark Empire Luke and force vision Luke, and it also creates a younger, less Sithy Mandalorian era Luke.

Something's off, the sculpt is better/sharper but not more accurate, somehow I do not see even young Mark here at all.

The facesculpt looks like a nice younger/ANH Mark Hamill. Looks like it could be reused for that in the future, just change out the hairpiece. Artisan hair looks almost like Holiday Special Luke to me and if I were getting this, I would go for the sculpted. This isn't something I want though, thankfully.

Cool figure I guess. But the only way I'd display him on a shelf would be next to daddy, and I'm not buying a double of another Vader to do that.

This is a figure I'd buy in 6" from either the Black Series line or S.H. Figuarts line. Not one I need at $300. I also have all the Dark Empire little guys released by Hasbro back in the 90's. Both loose and carded. I'll mull on it till it's released, and if it's still available and I have a bunch of RP's, maybe...

And good luck to those who want the Artisan if it's limited again.

The sculpt is what is really interesting to me. This feels like a cheep re-hash for a quick exclusive, and yet that is an entirely new sculpt. Why not use the most recent (and very good) ESB/Mando sculpt?
It honestly looks more like an ANH era Luke. I wonder if there is a new farmboy Luke on the horizon.

This does look like a ANH sculpt. Makes me wonder if a ANH 2.0 Luke is coming?

Not sure if I really need it. Already have two Jedi Luke figures. I realize this is different but really it’s just a mix of Luke and Vader parts. Kinda cool but also not that exciting.

For the average joe, but your neglecting speculators and investors, artisan will still sell out because of its finite numbers and perceived demand

I am honestly very happy for anyone that wants this, and I am honestly very excited by this release because I have ZERO interest in it, which is great for my current finances. I also know nothing about this EU, or if he is supposed to look different, but it almost just looks like someone trying to cosplay Luke to me.

This is an easy pass for me. The Artisan version is an especially easy pass. Will probably grab the sculpt once it comes out though just to have something different to use on one of my current Lukes.

Wow! They did it. But a strange 1st choice for an Artisan Luke...

Artisan, for the cost, should stick with the classics.


But then we all know, like the DX before it, Artisan will soon mean nothing.
