Slightly tempted despite owning the original, I could make that the Tatooine cloaked version so the face is partially hidden. I had been looking for a parted out Maul body to make use of both head sculpts and the cloak, but they were going for nearly the price of a full figure.

Buy new one, use both new sculpts for both figures, sell old sculpts

Wow. Really glad I decided to sell my 1.0 a couple months ago, finally had just decided that I didn't like the sculpted face tattoos and the drab red coloring they chose. Definitely will go for this 2.0 version, possibly with the bike since I didn't get that the first go round.

Undecided on this one. I have the version from Solo with the robotic legs which is pretty cool. This would pair well with Qui-Gon though.

Man, this hurts. Love Maul, but I'm not buying the same figure over again.

Maybe I'll be lucky and quick enough to manage getting a parted out new head(s). I'd have to see if the cloak is truly any better before thinking about trying to get that too.

And funny enough, the original was a DX, yet this one looks better and is a standard MMS.. :dunno

I am blown away by the portrait improvements, they removed the sculpted tats, the horns are no TPM specific styles and not just generic horns like Battlefront, and the overall likeness is much better and the look of the mouth open head looks more realistic and more in line with the character.

From a quick glance, looks like they didn’t improve anything from the first release besides the sculpts? If so I’ll just pick up the neutral expression off of TA once it releases to slap on the 1.0. Not worth buying the entire figure just for it.

Great improvement on the sculpts though. It’s now not worse than the old Sideshow Maul like the 1.0 is. :lol

Looks great. Tempted by the standard release, dont need the speeder.

Acquired but then sold the DX17 a while ago. I was very disappointed with the stand for the Speeder, it just kind of sit there. I was hoping for something like the speeder bike stands that would allow for some dynamism, but no.

These heads are going to be hard to come by, since everyone will want to just upgrade their 1.0

But at the cost for each head -- if you get both -- you might as well get the full set and sell off what you don't want.

Full disclosure: I have the DX Maul with Speeder, so all I need are those heads.

From a distance you probably can't tell, but up close, you can see here in the photo below, the tailoring of the inner robe (and quite possibly the tabards) is different, at least at the neck line. They also mention that the hooded robe is "newly tailored with enhanced fitting". The belt, the belt, boots and gloves appear to be the same though.

Easy pass if you own the 1.0 - these sit on shelves and you hopefully aren't there every day with a magnifying glass. lol

Great headsculpt improvement but not enough to slap serious money down.

Definitely depends on what you're going for. I never cared for the screaming sculpt on the 1.0 or on this. Just not an expression I ever picture Maul with since the pose required for it to look natural would have to be a bit more extreme as well. A sculpt on it's own is usually around $70 so I rather try to just grab the neutral one as an upgrade rather than spend $250+.

Thanks for pointing that out, didn't read their description on this. Thankfully don't care for the hooded robe look and the outfit on it's own isn't screaming major improvement to me when looking at it. Maul's outfit being such a non-fitted outfit helps blur the line between the 1.0 and this. Think I'm safe on just trying to grab the sculpt on its own.

A few nice upgrades. The original Maul is still one of my favorite figures, but good time to do another one, especially with so many new collectors in the game.

Might grab the heads, would love to put one of them on TCW Maul, wish they didn't cut so many corners with that figure.
