Roll cage made and fitted.
Did a bit more work to the rear wheels.
Started making the frame for the jump seat.
I've used square brass rod inside for strength.

Finished making the seat.
Making the fuel tank. I started by making the basic shape, then adding strips to create the ridges.
I will make it detachable to hide the battery bank.

Making the iconic hood scoop. I started with the base and the lower part of the scoop.
The top part is shaped them glued into place.
After much tidying up, it's fitted to the block. There are still a few pipes to add to the base.

Making the bonnet hinges.
Adding detail to the underside of the hood.
Hinges glued into place. The tape is to maintain a consistent panel gap.

I made a mounting plate for the motor, to drive the supercharger belt.
Motor attached. I will build the gearbox casing around the motor to hide it.

Making the inner bumper. I reinforced the joints with brass rod.
The finished bumper is screwed into place. At first, i wasn't going to bother making this part, as i much prefer how it looks undamaged. Then i realised, much of the inner structure is visible once the hood is opened.
The nose is removable for the sake of completeness.

Making the rear lights. These are 2 lengths of 8mm square perspex rod, glued together with a 0.75mm strip of black plasticard between them. The ends are shaped to match the light openings.
Another strip of plasticard is glued around the edge.
Making the reflectors. This is a stack of 5 2mm thick card glued into a block. The centres are drilled with a countersink bit.
Rough shaping is done with a Dremel.
Tidy up with a scalpel.
Chrome tape is applied.
Shown temporarily fitted.
Some clear red and amber to finish.
