I'm currently thinking about finally buying the one ring and/or arwens evenstar. But there are so many different versions out there and it's really hard to decide which one to choose. You guys have any recommandations for me? I don't want to spend thousands of bucks for the ring and it doesn't have to be made of gold or something. I just one a good looking replica for my collection. Same with the evenstar.

Thanks!

It's funny you mention that, i was doing the same thing. Wanted the one ring and a nice leatherbound book to be displayed along with the fellowship. Plan to empty a whole shelf just for that.

Anyway for the one ring, there are a few decent choices ignoring the gazillion walmart crap. Listed by price.

1) The original weta one ring, the best of course. $3300

2) The noble collection 10k solid gold edition, a close second. $500

3) The noble collection sterlin silver edition $130

4) Some officially licensed version on amazon (doesnt look to be high quality) $50

There are also a few props by master replica and noble collection where the ring is suspended in a globe or on sauron's hand but i didnt include them as they take a large footprint and isnt really just the ring.

I am learning towards 3) noble collection sterlin silver, because the price and quality is good. Also it comes with a nice small footprint wooden display stand with the one ring quotes on it, makes it a very nice complementary display piece next to the fellowship statues. And i actually like the silver text on gold, makes it look nicer than gold on gold.

------------

Now for the book, that's a different story all the nice leatherbound version are in the $100s, i refuse to pay so much for a book! The only one i found that's good price is the 50th anniversary edition, but it still looks kinda "trashy" and doesnt have that old leatherbound book feel. Still kicking myself for missing the ebay auction for that easton version.

The 50th anniversary edition is anything but trashy. I have 2 copies of it one I read out of and one to keep mint. It's the nicest and best version of the trilogy out there IMO. Not trying to come off as argumentative its just that version of the book is super nice. It's well worth a purchase.

Thanks, No. 3 is my favorite, too.

What I came across is this company Schumann Design.
They have made the ring and evenstar, too in different material etc.
Anyone got one of these?

I have the Noble Evenstar. It's really pretty. I even bought the display for it but I'm not too keen on that. If I didn't get it for practically nothing, I wouldn't have gotten it.

Just remember, you get what you pay for. This big of piece, for the price isn't going to look like it came from a jewelry store where you paid big bucks. The stones aren't set, but glued on.

I don't remember paying this much for it, so I might have gotten it through another vender, but it is from Noble.
