Seriously this is the best thing to happen to the Boston Red Sox in 2012. Valentine had no history of success in MLB. Lucchino went over the head of his GM and hired this guy because he was a "name". I think Cherington would have gone with Dale Sveum if it had been his choice. Hopefully they can work something out with Toronto and they can have John Farrell come in and be done with it since that seems to be what they want.

Aside from the worst season since 1965, Carl Beane the voice of Fenway Park died in May, and Johnny Pesky passed away. I'm ready to forget about 2012 and look forward to hitting Fort Myers in February.

"If the Orioles lose Wednesday and finish with the same record as Texas (93-69), the Rangers would host the wild-card game Friday because they won the season series from Baltimore."
