I know this has been touched on in other threads, but here's a dedicated one. Let's hear which artists you'd like to see immortalized in plastic (or resin/polystone/metal). Let me start it off with:

KISS (1/6 scale in their various incarnations)
Jim Morrison
Meat Loaf (though he probably fits McFarlane better)

Besides the obvious (Bealtes, Elvis, etc..) I would love to see Syd Barrett, Buddy Holly, Nirvana, and BILLIE HOLIDAY.

Looks like Sideshow has fleshed out the line with Sex Pistols and Spinal Tap figures from other manufacturers (though they're all sold out!) It's also changed the name to Legendary Musicians.

If SS makes this in PF with the road as a base which can be displayed seperate or connected together, I will buy.

I forgot about the musical legends line. I think that it's the KISS line for now...

I'll be interested if/when they do musical legends.

Ooo.. You know Gene Kelly swinging on a lamp post from Singing in the Rain would be pretty awesome.

OK, OK. Legendary Musicians.

:D

I know what you meant Tom. I'd still like to know when they make what most consider true Legendary Musicians. Kiss to me falls far short of that but I am happy for Kiss fans...

I really would love to have a 1/4 Jim Morrison PF for starters...

Well Kiss are musicians and they are legendary, few bands will ever come close to the popularity that Kiss had, so they fit in in this line just fine.

Jim Morrison is a must. Baggy white shirt, leather pants and cowboy boots.

Or in his classic pose:

Iron Maiden's EDDIE!!!!!!!!!!!

There are tons of Eddie variations that can keep SS busy for years!!!!!

Bring on Killers, Somewhere in Time and Number of the Beast!!!!!!!!

If Kiss are musical legends, then my name's Sue :confused: They just happen to shout louder than a lot of more deserving bands. Perhaps SS should consider a Pantomime Dame range, or WWF figures :banghead:banghead:banghead

Suitable peeps (IMO) include

Jim Morrison
Keith Moon
John Entwistle
John Lennon
George Harrison
Jimi Hendrix
Janis Joplin
Elvis
Buddy Holly
John Bonham
Marc Bolan
Muddy Waters

There's a common theme there, which has nothing to do with an attention seeking bunch of not terribly talented posers.

TC (NOT Kiss Fan) :mwaha:mwaha:mwaha

how about the whole gang in WEST SIDE STORY? :lol

...also, what made KISS a musical legend? if you ask me, I'd say:

Elvis Priestly
Metallica
Madonna
Micheal Jackson
Beatles
Nirvana
Doors
Aerosmith
Pink Floyd

IMO, all of these bands contributed significantly in the musical world.

Legendary Musicians dont necessarily make legendary music

But I'd love to see a Jim Morrisson or Jimi Hendrix btw!
