custom 1:1 iron man bust - looking for more info

Hmmm there was a guy on the rpf doing one similar to this but this looks a bit different. I quite like it though. Be interested to know more aswell

Oh yeah, I know this bust. It was made by a guy (Surreal Studios) at the RPF. Here's the thread, you can PM him about commissions.

I actually got to see this bust in person at the CNE here in Toronto. It was massive, the only true 1:1 bust I have ever seen (a man could actually fit inside of it). Here are some crappy cellphone pictures I took:

This is the first that I've seen of this piece.

I have seen one with an automated face plate that pops up and down though. This one isn't too bad. The torso looks a little too large for the head IMO, but still nice.

I followed this on therpf. While it's an impressive piece in some ways it seems off in others:

- chest plate too far forward/bulky
- fold in chest under chest plate
- edges on helmet too sharp
- brow line too tall
- brushed gold effect doesn't look good
- eyes not contoured and LEDs visible
- etc.
