I love horror trivia.

If anybody has any and wants to share, add some.

Did you know that Tom Noonan, the guy who plaid Nuke narcotic manufacturer Cain in RoboCop 2, was also Frankenstein's Monster in Monster Squad? It's true.

Did you know that, Robert Picardo, the holographic Doctor from Star Trek Voyager, was the Swamp Witch Meg Mucklebones in Legend? It's true.

That would have been a very different movie. I think Lee would have overpowered the Michael character. Glad he wasn't in it.

Liam Neeson was originally offered the role of Dracula in Monster Squad.

Tom Noonan was also the very first serial killer Hannibal Lecktor would help a detective Will Graham (William Petersen) locate on film, in Manhunter.

Anthony Hopkins only has about 16 minutes of screen time for his award winning role in Silence of the Lambs.

In the movie House, Richard moll only voiced the character of the skeletal Big Ben, it was Curtis Scott Wilmot who donned the suit in the ending.

In the original Halloween, Nick Castle's face didn't quite sit right in the Shatner mask. His long face cause his chin to sit in the neck part of the mask, pulling the mask down and giving it the "Castle Stretch". Tommy Wallace's chin sat where it was suppose to, hence the different looks of the mask in the different parts of the movie.

And that's why the exact same mask looks very different on Warlock's head in part 2.

The other reason is looks different is because it say under Debra Hill's bed for a couple years between movies, and she was a heavy smoker. Also, the paint or dye on the hair had worn off quite a bit.

I remember that.

Kinda makes you think some other actor got ripped off, doesn't it?

I dunno. He's a damn fine actor and made such an impact as Lecktor despite his small amount of screen time. I remember clapping at home when he just took the Oscar, looked at the crowd, and raised it above his head. :lol

Did you know it is rumored that Jackie Earl Haley, the remake Freddy Krueger, was an old friend of Johnny Depp and auditioned for Depp's character in 1984's Nightmare on Elm Street., but Craven saw Johnny and gave him the role instead.

In Evil Dead II, when Ash goes down into the cellar to collect the pages of the Necronomicon, you can see Freddy Krueger's glove hanging by a door down there.

As a Hammer horror fan, I always thought this was too cool.

Christopher Lee has played Frankenstein's monster (The Curse of Frankenstein - 1957), Dracula (Horror of Dracula - 1958) and the Mummy (The Mummy - 1959).

Actually it was Wes Craven's daughter who saw Johnny and said how cute was and should get the part.

DID YOU KNOW . . .

John Larroquette winner of four consecutive Emmy awards (1985-1989) in the television series NIGHT COURT provided the opening voiceover narration for THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (1974).

Director Tobe Hooper (THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE) was the original director of RETURN OF THE LIVING before backing out to direct LIFEFORCE.

The currently available DVD of Tobe Hooper's LIFEFORCE (1985) is actually the European/international version of the film running at 116 minutes compared to the original theatrical release and subsequent VHS release.

Just caught Larroquette on Broadway doing How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Somehow got his autograph, too.

Did you know Dan O'Bannon, writer of Lifeforce, Return of the Living Dead, and Alien, got the inspiration for the chestburster because he suffered from crohn's disease? And since Ridely Scott wasn't a horror director, he made him sit down and watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre prior to shooting the dinner scene?
