2 many Gr8 Statues!!!
I've been reading Detective Comics and Batman for the last 10 issues or so and Batman's Costume is black and grey. Is this a permanent thing or will he ever be blue and grey again? Has he been blue or grey anytime recently? If you know the answer, thanks.

It changed to black and gray in the '90s at some point following the Bane back break storyline. Jim Lee's pre-reboot Batman had blue. It's probably gonna be based on an artist/writer's preference as time goes on. Whenever they scrap the re-boot and return to regular continuity (I give it a year) then it probably won't take too long before he reverts to the blue for a spell, at least.

I highly doubt that is going to happen, the books are selling like crazy. Most of changes are for the good.

Even first appearance Batman had blue highlights.

We'll see in time. It feels to me more like a movie that has lots of hype and makes a lot of money opening weekend, but doesn't have staying power. Of course, DC was screwed up enough before this took place, but comic companies have pulled the old "'things will change forever' only to have it reverse to the status quo after a few months" spiel one time too many for me to buy into it.

It doesn't really matter to me what they change it to now since I don't read comics anymore, but this is the most iconic look he ever had as far as I'm concerned. Adams FTW.

I pretty much like all the looks of Batman. Blue, black, gray, large black bat symbol, yellow oval, short ears, long ears, movie, comic, it doesn't matter to me.

Considering the animated series is my favorite depiction, characterization and look of Batman, I'd probably have to go with the classic gray, blue, black and oval though.

:lol

I actually like Neil Adams work. Hate the costume though. I do think he's extremely overrated and his recent work on Batman last year he tried so hard to be Jim Lee it was pathetic.

Actually, I agree that it was pathetic for Adams (a true legend) to try to be Jim Lee, because the latter is the most overrated comic book artist of our time.

That's my Batman, and always will be.

Although I haven't read a comic book in over 20 years, this is my favorite look too.
