Kilmer was ok, O'donnell sucked, tommy lee Jnoes thought he was playing a disfigured Joker and Jim Carrey was just typecasting. The movie was ok on it's own but I preferred the dark Burton Batman movies more.

As a kid I enjoyed BF and B&R, but even back then I didn't love them like Batman '89. I watched BF for the first time about a year ago and it was alright. Not as good as 89 or BR, but not nearly as bad as B&R; just right about where I expected.

Fixed that^ :wink1:

Agree with your post. I watched it a couple of months ago...kinda reappraised it again. Its OK. I just accept that its not a serious Batman film, like I pretend that the Star Wars prequels were not meant to be serious Star Wars films.

I happen to like Robin in Batman Forever. He's a whiny prick in Batman and Robin, sure, but I thought they handled him pretty damn well in the first one.

Well, I didn't like the whole laundry scene or whatever the hell that was with drying the clothes, but other than that, I thought the character and his arc were well done. Circus, talks with Bruce about revenge, saving him from being buried alive, it was good stuff.

Wow... this movie really is getting too much love... Milker was just doing a bad impersonation of Keaton, as Batman and Bruce Wayne...

And the villains... horrid!

Why would you cast someone as Two-Face when their "smooth" side is already wrinkle and messed up??

Whatever ... it is what it is, the movie happened and i can't change that.

M.

I liked it. Not as much as either Keaton film though. It was very campy, but still good. I like Kilmer as Bats.

what I really look forward to in the next series of films after Nolan, is a batman and robin, where the robin is actually a kid, and don't anybody say they can't do it, cause hit girl in kick ass was a kid and she was one of the better parts of the movie. That was one thing I did hate about batman forever, why was ____ grayson in his LATE 20's? kinda ruins the title BOY wonder, huh? I kinda hope they stick closer to the comics in the next reboot. I mean as much as I like the Nolanverse, I hate it almost as much. As good a job as Nolan did by making the films more gritty and realistic, in doing so he created a world in which most of Batmans iconic villains can not exist. Batmans rogues gallery is second to none and really one of the things that makes him so great, you take away that and you really make his world that much smaller. For that reason I think the Burton/Keaton films will always be my favorite...at least until the next film incarnation.

Chris O'Donnell was the batman series' Jar Jar Binks..terrible

:goodpost::rotfl:exactly: I thought Robin in any media, sucks!

I do like BF! Thought Val was good as Batman, don't understand the car but grew to like it over the years. Hope HT will produce the 1/6 car.

Batman And Robin, urgh! WTF is that all about?

I still like this movie no matter what.
NO love tho, just think it's a pretty enjoyable flick.

Can't believe there are 156 people that liked this film.

BB

Tell me about it. I don't care if they were neck and neck. As long as there were more "noes" then "yeses" then I could sleep knowing that all was right in the world. As is? :monkey4

MOVIE WAS HORRIBLE !!! The only reason could watch was the actors in it are good actors but the story was bad very bad ..I usualy enjoy CARREY ,KILMER, KEITEL and even odonnel was decent but the whole story just way too kidsy ... the worst batmobile design ever created...
