Thanks again Les for opening up your heart to us. As other guys here have said that takes some real guts to do that. I've learned to be patient, and as with the Clark Kent head sculpt I got from you...I know it's worth the wait! :yess: I dream of the day I get my full figure custom Christopher Reeve Superman figure from you. I really do. So that dream keeps my impatience at bay, and knowing the fact that you're working hard on it for me, and all of the other projects for people here. I understand about money issues and family issues, and have talked to you about them many times before. So I understand your situation. I'm in a similar situation here, but again nothing like yours. I've made many mistakes in the past, and trying to correct them now is tough. But I'm working on it. Like I know that you are too.

You've always got my "ear" so to speak Les. You can always know I'm always a phone call, e-mail, or PM away. :wave

I too hope that the old pendulum of life swings back in your direction in your favor very soon! :clap

the master is still putting out exceptional work:

be patient fellas. it's worth the wait. les is working like a dog and i love him for it :D

Very impressive, and that's like a highlight reel of some of Les' best works over the years, always impressed with the extra "life" effects he put into the Hudson and Hicks heads he did, like the sweat and random hair strands and all, and he rocks the Jokers.

Thanks so much Maz. You rock too my friend.

Update on me, since it's been a while.

OK. I am about 2/3 through my bankruptcy and it's not been fun. In fact, having to deal with it on top of the last three years, two and a half for sure, of pure hell, has been unbelieveably stressful at best, and downright horrifying at worst. There was a period (Still not at an end) that I feared I would lose my entire figure collection. Yes, that. All of it. My stuff though, not anyone else's. You wouldn't believe the lengths I have gone through to just preserve and protect other folk's stuff in case it came to that.

There have been some dark nights for me in all this. LONG, sleepless nights. And I am so tired. But I have had all this to keep me going. I have always kept in my mind, I MUST FINISH THIS STUFF NO MATTER WHAT. I may still be alive due to that single thought. Seriously.

The good side of all this, is I am one organized mother now. I have FINALLY gotten the best storage shelving for my works, your stuff, and have organized it all where I can keep it off my desktop, where I had a lot of it at one time (I do not have much room in this ONE ROOM I call a home). But, I have been sticking to a plan I started, ironically, in April of 08, where I was gonna move this huge 1905 piano out of here, it's not my family's anyway, and make room to do better work, in more space.
I so envy other artists I see here with big tabletops, covered in measured out cutting surfaces, and stacks of boxes of supplies, and such, so I have been trying to work towards that for two years now. Some of that may have added to the lagtimes on a lot of the work. Sadly. But now that I am reorganizing, it is helping me move stuff out the door.

Also, due to court scrutiny of my paypal and ebay accounts, I have been unable to accept payments of any kind, even the kind hearted "extra shipping" monies that could help me speed things up, here and there, and let me tell you, THAT added a LOT to my stresses. But, my private art lessons here, and some other side work is yeilding some meager income, enough to ship things as I can. so no fears, STUFF IS STILL COMING!

I will not, now, or ever, decend to the depths of accepting someone else to come and do shipping or proper accounting for me, when this is MY PROBLEM, and I must solve it. And I am.

But man, this bankruptcy thing, I would still do it, as I had to, just too much ccard debt (ALL my money was going to that every damned month!) and the lag, and so much family stuff, but I am staying on target, getting work done, and OUT OF HERE! But, I sure didn't expect where it has taken me. Think hard those that have to consider it. It is SCARY stuff!

But your loot is moving again.
It's slow going, but going. THAT IS WHAT MATTERS!
I cannot possibly update everyone. The emails and pms are coming and I may not can let each of you know the same thing, so read this here, so you at least know, it is ALL coming.

You will get emails. You will get tracking numbers. You will receive your loot, and it will be finished. It may not have been fast, or on time, whatever that was now, but it will be done with my best possible efforts. That is my promise and I stand by it.

So, thanks Maz for the VERY kind comment and post. He is but one of several to have received stuff recently, and he has waited a LONG time also. I cannot thank you enough my friend. YOU and others like you, make this all possible for me. Those that came late, the ones in back of the line, those that are maybe even the most impatient, see how those that are WAY ahead of you feel? Hope all can feel that way soon.

More to come. And more from those that have waited so long. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! You still rock.

What will I do after all this? REST! For a long time. And enjoy the works of others, and try to get some of the new heads, and make some figures when I can. And rest.

But not til I am done.

Hang tight, and be prepared to receive. That's the best I can say for now. Emails and pms coming when the stuff is on the way.

Always in your debt,
Les

PS: And there is something coming I think some of you may like. I hope. A little something I have been workiing on for a year or two now, in the middle of all the other stuff, that I hope to show soon. A little thank you item. Til then, more works! :rock

Thanks for sharing SO much with us Les...that you didn't have to share. You didn't have to share those details in your life, but you did. I pray for you that things start moving in a positive direction for you, and you get some much-needed rest and relief.

I wish I could be there to help you move out the big ole' piano! They make some great things called "forearm forklift" straps. You can use them with another person to move very heavy objects easily. You might also try a really big dolly to help to move the piano. Finally there's just pure brute force. The more guys to help lift it...helps. I'd drive over there, and help you if I could. But working both jobs at Best Buy and Academy Sports + Outdoors store keeps me really busy now. Not much free time at all anymore, and the retail "holiday season" is starting up soon.

I wish I could help out, and see what the "free loot" is! :) I'm wondering what the new project you're working on is going to be too! :dunno It'll be cool to see that when you show it to us. Also that "thank you item" has me anxious to see what it is too. I like good suprises.

Well, keep on keepin' on Les! You'll get it all done. I've got faith in you my friend! :wave

Thanks guys! And Mooncat, stunning shots! LOVE seeing my work on bodies! Hope to see a lot more soon! :rock
Thanks also, (big time!) GRUFF and EighthSamurai for the kind shots!

QUICK notes...
Still immersed in this bankruptcy thing, but it is sorta kinda leveling out. Could mean use of my Ebay and Paypal again soon. (LONG story, but I haven't been able to use either for months now. SUCKS!!!!!!!!) Trying to wait til all that eases up. Need to sell some stuff to make some $ to have more to ship more. Forgive me not taking more $ from those that have already paid shipping, but...well...yeah. You've already paid. I can't abide getting more, hard for me to live with that, it's my problem, so, let me get some sales $ in my strained hands again, and more ships very soon.
I am teaching some art classes here locally, but money from that is meager and SLOW to help. Especially since the filing of the BR. That alone costs almost as much as the debt seemed to.

Anyway, last few days, been sick with a stomach flu this week. NOT FUN! But feeling better now. Saw an unbelievably beautiful girl at a furniture store while I was there asking about moving my piano, and just seeing her rekindled my entire appreciation of Life! lol! Yeah, she was that fine! Anyway, put some steam in my stride again to get off my butt and get more stuff done!

I did get info as to moving the piano which is either today, in an hour or two (it's CHAOS here! All stuff moved out of the way and/or SAFELY in boxes) Why is moving the piano important? I wanted to do that in April of 08, just before my Mom's stuff went heywire and set me back for so long for one, and also because it eats over a quarter of the space in my limited room, so when it's gone, I can add needed shelving (long since purchased and out in the garage waiting to be brought in...) and I can add more needed desk space to my too small work zone, and light it better, and no longer be trying to do so much work in such a teeny space! It's been nuts for too long!

So, I will have SPACE at long last! NEW! CLEAN! SPACE! To work and do larger projects better, faster and AT ONE TIME! More than one or two at a time...what a concept! I can even finish these large pieces that are moving so slow!

So, more good work news soon!
Money, Space, Paints, Updates, MORE FINISHED STUFF BACK IN WAITING HANDS! It's all good!

Hang in there! I ain't dead yet! :rock

And again, thanks for the posts. Much appreciated!

Awesome Report, Les. Sounds like you're feeling better if fine ladies are putting a stride in yer step. :lol

I recently completed an amazing Beatles project. Les, of course, did the heads. Anyhoo, here's the completed Paul. For more pics go to the Beatles thread. All Lads now done and set up.

Thanks Les!

THE DAMNEDABLE PIANO IS AT LONG LAST MOVED!
Unbelievable how nice it is to have more space!
Now to move the furniture and desks and "crap I own" around and make room for more paint space! Cannot wait! Been after this for so long, I forgot what it was like til it was out of here. Feel like I have a new place again!

And speaking of crap, I do have way too much of it. Can't wait to lighten my collections.

And thanks guys.
Bake, you da man!
Josh, appreciate it! You rock! (hand seems ok today, a little sore...not bad...)
Thanks Pjam! THAT ROCKS! Seriously! Amazing job you've done on those. Just the details alone! Honored I could help you with such an important set for you.
Now fill that air guitar with a solid one! :rock
