Re: Mr. Charlie's All New Ventures into Pop Culture Reproductions

That does look good... love the B&W color scheme.

I think I'd go for another open hand though, something about the fist looks off.

Re: Mr. Charlie's All New Ventures into Pop Culture Reproductions

Thanks guys. This ended up being a lot more work than I originally expected. Little things like getting the torso to stick to the HT lower body and getting the undershirt on him proved particularly time consuming.

And yeah, if anyone has a couple extra of these Max Aggression hands they'd be willing to part with drop me a PM. I'd put them to good use. Esp. an open right hand. Too bad there's nothing like a pistol grip one. Would be nice for "Gladys." But don't think that exists.

Thanks for sharing those pics with me,
I appreciate it when customizers/painter update me with their full customs, it's always nice to see :)
You did a phenomenal job putting that figure together, wow!
Can I please put those pics up on my website? I will credit you (watermark) in the pictures :)

Re: Mr. Charlie's All New Ventures into Pop Culture Reproductions

Great customs and I gotta say that Marv is my favorite.

Re: Mr. Charlie's All New Ventures into Pop Culture Reproductions

Thanks, guys. Appreciate the comments. And absolutely post those pics, Daniel. Happy I could bring it to fruition.

Re: Mr. Charlie's All New Ventures into Pop Culture Reproductions

I love that Marv, nice work :rock You should give the stone cold killers Hartigan the same black and white treatment!

Thought of that. But then saw Spenser was working on a Willis sculpt, so here's hoping....

Re: Mr. Charlie's All New Ventures into Pop Culture Reproductions

Seb! Hop to it, bro. Can't believe I actually beat you to something. But then again while I was finishing this up you were doing an entire series of Jasons.

Finishing up my Daniel Craig Bond and then on Lt. Harrigan.

Re: Mr. Charlie's All New Ventures into Pop Culture Reproductions

* Update * Thanks to Jessica for the bow tie! Absolutely completes the figure!

My Casino Royale Andy Bergholtz Daniel Craig Bond. Tried getting him to look like he does on the movie poster, complete with original PPK. Body is a TTL 3.0 with painted neck to match.

Customized the silencer using what I think was one off a SS Bond figure, not sure which one, using a dremmel.

sweet. thats an awesome bond there!

Thanks, man. Was pretty happy with how he turned out.

Wanted to let you guys know that I am going to be posting an announcement most likely next week about custom head sculpts being made available of the entire rescue team from the cast of Predator, aside from Dutch and Billy of course.

I've been talking with an amazing professional sculptor who has done work for many of the top-notch companies whose high-end collectibles we all currently have in our collections. He already has a few of these guys sculpted in statue form, including Blaine, Dillon and Anna. I convinced him that there was a market for the heads among 1/6th hobbyists and he has agreed to make some available. He tells me he is also currently working on a Mac head sculpt and that if there is sufficient interest he will also be doing Hawkins and Poncho.

As I understand it he is ready to go on Dillon, with Blaine soon to follow. Prices will be $45 per head, and we will also be making a "kit" available for Blaine, with a mini gun, movie-accurate ammo box, ammo belt, knife and hat for an additional $40 (all made out of resin). I haven't seen the Dillon in person yet but the pics look great. And he also has a hat sculpted on, so no need to go looking for an expensive and hard-to-find hat that won't even fit over the afro, as anyone who has tried bashing a Dillon using the HT Apollo Creed head knows.

So hopefully by next week we'll be welcoming another very talented individual into our community, as by then I should have pics of Blaine, Anna and hopefully WIP pics of Mac posted. At that time we should also be ready to start taking orders on Dillon. So stay tuned......

Thanks, Joe! Think I finally figured out some methods for layering and doing eye work that give consistent results. If you ever want to trade up that Joker overcoat for a paint comission let me know :naughty

More good news on the Predator heads. Mac is apparently finished! Should have pics soon!

Re: Mr. Charlie's All New Ventures into Pop Culture Reproductions

I'm not a big fan of that Craig head, but I like what you've done with it!

Duly noted :lol

BTW, I'm about to PM you shipping info on your stuff :duff

Re: Mr. Charlie's All New Ventures into Pop Culture Reproductions

Been modifying the minigun that comes with the Thomas J. Punisher figure for my Blaine custom.

Dremmeled off the supports and built up the handle using pieces of wood (I believe basal wood) glued together. Then I dremeled them down to shape. Also added wood putty to the corners to smooth them out.

Also sacraficed an M60 I had lying around for the handle. Still need to paint the tip:

Almost finished product:

Up-close of the wound. Rubber skin took better to the acrylics than I expected:

Re: Mr. Charlie's All New Ventures into Pop Culture Reproductions

Where is that Dillon sculpt from? Is that an Apollo that was modified?
Great job all around!
