Re: Need die hard 4 parts help

I agree. I have two Whiplash bodies and I believe that would be overkill. They are huge. No way was Bruce ever that big. If you want the rubber neck get a Wolverine or Comedian body but I think even those would be wasted on a figure wearing a long sleeved shirt but it is your figure so use what will make you feel best.

Re: Need die hard 4 parts help

"Hello Adam,

Thanks for your support to Hot Toys product.
However, we are sorry that taking off the taattoos is not suggested.

Thanks,
BN/ Hot Toys Ltd"

Re: Need die hard 4 parts help

If you want the best figure possible, the answer is this body:

And this head:

bruce willis (die hard 4) and brad pitt (se7en) are available for preorder on my website

a few "limited" edition painted versions as well

If you want to do him open shirted like the pic above, that body will be soooo perfect. And remember to order the WITHOUT neck version to fit on that body.

I do agree that the price for that body is a bit to much. Not sure how you would get a cheaper one though... but that's the one you should get. Great suggestion Cadaver. :)

Re: Need die hard 4 parts help

I just saw a Triad evo body on eBay for $39.99. Ii has a good looking neck and upper chest ( the only part that is going to show). And then there is the good old Soldier Story S2 body. I love that body. It is perfect for open shirted bashes like a DH 4 one. It also has broad shoulders and bigger arms (kind of wonky shoulders but they will be hidden by the shirt) and they can usually be had for under $20.

Re: Need die hard 4 parts help

I really like that Triad evo body. Is there one like that that doesn't have a neck? need one for my John Locke.

Re: Need die hard 4 parts help

Don't thinks so. I think that is the attraction of the EVO body. Just cut Locke's neck off. It is not that hard. I have done it lot's of times. You just need a dremel and some patience.

Re: Need die hard 4 parts help

:( The sculpting on Locke's neck is amazing...

Re: Need die hard 4 parts help

if i can find a good deal on that dastan body i think il get one of those.
does anybody know where i can find a guide or something for weathering the clothing and maybe doing a bandage on the arm?

Re: Need die hard 4 parts help

If you use that body and sunohc's head, it's gonna be an epic figure. You better post pics. :D

Re: Need die hard 4 parts help

Oh and the Triad body's got a big weiner.

I don't think there is such a thing as a good deal on those bodies. If they are anything like the Wolverine and Comedian bodies (and I am sure they will be it is basically the same body) expect to pay at least a hundred by the time it is shipped to you. I got a good deal on my Comedian body for my DH 1 figure and it was still $98 US by the time shipping was factored in. I can't for the life of me (and believe me I have been puzzling on this for days) figure out why you are going to spend 100 bones on oone of those bodies and cover it with a shirt when there are a couple of other bodies with nice necksculpts out there (and that is all you need for this figure) that won't even cost you half of what a Dastan/Wolverine/Comedian body will cost. Take the savings and spend it on a paintjob by one of the masters.

Re: Need die hard 4 parts help

Well, most bodies don't have sculpted arms and the elbow joints look like sh@t.

But if the shirt is gonna have long sleeves, then I agree.

Re: Need die hard 4 parts help

I am all for spending the bucks on the right body if the figure warrants it but I just can't see using that body for that figure. I mean as beat up as he gets in the end of the movie he still has one full sleeve and half of the other. And a bandage on his forearm.
Those awesome arms would be completely wasted. And while we are on the subject of the W/C/D body, why with Daniel's awesome DH 1 head out there would anyone forego that head and that movie to make a figure from the vastly inferior DH4 (an ok movie but no DH1)? Just my 2 pennies.

Re: Need die hard 4 parts help

The wolv/comedian bodies not only have better looking forearms and elbow joints, the neck and chest is also superior to any of the regular bodies with sculpted necks. Since the neck, chest, forearms and elbows are all going to be showing on your custom, I say go for the body if you can afford it.

Personal preference? :dunno To each their own...I for one would love to see a DH4 McClane done right.

:exactly::exactly: :goodpost:

Re: Need die hard 4 parts help

Whatever....the arms, chest, shoulders and stomach are works of art. I have no idea why you would cover them up for any reason. Oh and the bandage is right on his elbow so who cares what the elbow joint looks like?
