ok let's try this

I took a standard 8'-15 1/4" shelf from home depot and got them to cut it at 46" then butted them together to make a two part shelf that fit really nice after I cut the corners

OK Time to take it apart again and give it a nice shiny black paint job, I know it looks like its black but that is the original paint.

Time to cut the plexiglas, found some angles from a old bed frame to use as a straight edge and a break, made the cut with a standard utility knife.

I found some 1/2"-1/2" aluminum angle at home depot, 8' lengths for $6.99 I will use 3 of them to trim my plexiglas at the bottom and the sides of each panel

Then I will take some two sided carpet tape cut it into 3/8" strips and stik the angle to the leg and shelf, then I can use it to stik the plexiglas to the angle for a nice finish. I like the carpet tape because it is thin and clear and you will not see it in the finish product.

That's as far as I go for now I will put it all together when I move at the end of the month, I still need to order the LED strip lights looking at the RGB 50/50 with the remote that Geil posted it should add a nice touch.

I would like to THANK!!! Figurefreaks and Geil for their ideas and input on this coffee table MOD without them this would not be possible. And a good friend of mine S B Banner a new fellow freak who helped me do this build at his place because I live in an apartment. THANKS GUYS!!!
