Hmmm 800 seems a bit high to me for the EX. But I'm hesitant to cancel and go for the regular for a cheaper price because of all the issues from the previous Iron Man pieces. It'll just be easier dealing directly with Sideshow if there are flaws.

This makes me a little concerned. I am planning on pre-ordering with Alter Ego to save around $70 (CA taxes + lower price), but if there's an "Iron Man problem", is the savings worth the hassle of not dealing directly with SS?

I just had a problem with the Count Dooku Premium Format I ordered through Alter Ego Comics. Exchange was no problem whatsoever. In fact, Sideshow sent me the UPS Label for the old one directly, and then sent me the replacement directly. So neither package even went back to Alter Ego Comics. (By the way, I live in Los Angeles. Story is probably similar for anyone living in California.) Smooth transaction. Minimal hassle.

Thanks for the info. That's good to know.

I think that depends are whether you like the classic version over the modern. There's those that grew up with the classic IM and known him from the get go but then once the movies hit there's a lot of the new age of Iron Man fans that prefer the modern look.

It's more about preference on this matter, I'll own both of them. I have the IM Classic I have to say that it's one of the best exclusives that Sideshow has release, lots of swapping accessories...you could even customize your own flag if you like. :D

Don't get us started about the "customing the whole flag" thing again....

:lol
