No termites, never ever going to get them now. The garage is still upside down but I've started pulling fembods together for a photo shoot. 'Fraid it's pretty disorganized, but I'm accumulating a nice little pile. I'll probably remember something after I've measured and shot them. I hope I can identify them all. There's a Sea Int'l, couple different Sideshows, a BBi Cy, a version 1 BBi Perfect Body, a HeroBuilders, a Yamata (Yamato?), an Eleanor's Girls (Women of Valor?) and an Otaku. I really ought to build myself a custom one of these days...:rotfl

Now I'll have to decide what to do about the Otaku. I think I'm going to have to "censor" it visually. Photobucket thinks it's doll porn. Maybe I'll just leave it in its li'l white bikini. :naughty

Finally....

I lined them up with their heels on the blue line to help with height comparisons, and added heads where I could this time. The heads for Sideshow, HeroBuilders, and Otaku are not the original ones.

I recommend copying the photo while you can. Photobucket may delete it.

I wish triad would go ahead and release the other female bodies. I would've bought some Otaku's but realized I didn't have any customs other than Lara Croft that would call for the giant boobs.

Wow, I can't believe I didn't see this earlier! Hot Toys definitely has the best balance between realistic torso proportions and articulation

Man, the Sideshow one looks even worse by comparison :monkey3

And I recently got one of ACE male bodies... pretty good, great range of movement, but a little weak. Joints loosened up a little faster than I would have expected. But a great body choice if you have a lot of exposed limbs.

Thanks for posting the comparison photo. Very helpful. I like the Hot Toys (like the torso proportions) and Triad bodies the best (though it would be great if Triad came out with an Otaku that is not quite so well endowed).

As promised, here's a look at some recent, and not-so-recent, bodies available out there:

Sorry to cause people with small displays to scroll sideways. The yellow lines indicate where I measured from -- basically, the top of the visible part of the neck and none of the part that would hide inside a head. Where the shoulders are uneven, it's to indicate that the shoulders are able to hold poses at different heights. The one identified as a BBI G3.5 was an eBay purchase and the manufacturer's mark has been obliterated, so I'm guessing based on photos.

Female body comparisons to come. I don't have as many of those.

Hello Gruff Old Bear! I would like to find a RAH Medicom figure that is 9 3/4", but which name do I look for? Are they all actually that size? Thanks for posting this great information, Kent.:banana

OK I can't really figure this out from the pics. Which figure body has the slimmest torso? The pic below is on a Sideshow body and the ab area button keeps popping open because the outit is too tight for this body. Any suggestions?

Well yeah, :lol It actually doesn't look that bad there. Why?

If it can work well with the rest of the figures, I might try and give it a shot, but I don't want a midget Joker.

Hack the love handles -- either dremel them down or literally cut them down with an exacto.

Well that is an option that never even occured to me! See, thats why we have boards like this. I literally wouldn't have thought of that!

Thanks Wor-Gar! :rock I'll give it a try on whatever body I use for this (the Sideshow figure in the pic broke at the wrist peg (thats why it is behind his back ;) ).

Thanks Wor-Gar! :rock

No problem. Just be careful and work slowly, don't rush. And make sure the area you're cutting isn't necessary for support of the figure in anyway.

But you should be able to shave down the sides of the waist or hips without having that section collapse. If it's a large area of the seam that you must cut, then you can always reglue or even tape up the figure after surgery.
