Lets see, HT has ruined Enterbay and demolished Medicom. Good thing Sideshow has partnered up with them! HT is bloodthirsty aren't they! :lol

Good thinking Sideshow:) , if ya can't beat them join them!:lol

..i wouldn't say enterbay are done yet, they got that whole factory problem sorted ..right?

..and what about Blitzway? a possible underdog? hmmm?

I just want them to do Sleepy Hollow so they can make the Headless Horseman! It could have a Walken sculpt, a bloody skull and a pumpkin head even tho he didn't really wear it. And I want the horse and the tree, they could sell it as a separate set. I would definitely buy. And make the whole thing light up :exactly:

I would love if they made the headless horseman and they had him come with no head ..and then laugh at the people who cry that the horseman has no head!:lol

I can't pass on this one, i know i would regret it later on. This is such a beautiful sculpt/figure design and glad there is no PERS going on with this release, movie was good too IMO.

I was thinking about Sleepy Hollow too. It could be really cool.

I would LOVE a HT Headless Horseman (and a HT Horse HOLY SH.....!!) but, I dont see any other characters outside of Depp getting made from any of these other films:

Sleepy Hollow
Sweeney Todd
Alice in Wonderland
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Just the Deppster and thats it, unfortunately.

It'll be an epicwin and one-second-buy :monkey2

This is the only reason I'm waiting for Ichabod.
Depp's character itself does not interest me at all.

I think the sculpt is fantastic as is. One of HT's best. Truely amazing. I don't think you could show the figure to anyone who knows who Johhny Depp is and have them not know who it is.

While Dillinger would be cool, I don't think he'll be next, or possibly at all. HT did say they didn't do any Inception figures because they were just guys in suits. Then they go and release a suited Bruce Lee :lol Granted the period suit would make it more interesting that a modern suit character, but I guess it all comes down to just how deep they are going to go into Depp's history and roles. I'd love for them to just slaughter Medicom's dreams of a great Depp line. And if Medi is any indication, Crane and Hatter are the next most likely choices for HT.

If I was a betting man, Id wager that Mad Hatter is next. But I do believe we will at least get Hatter, Wonka, and Crane before HT is done with this line.

Personally I cant get enough Depp, so Id like HT to keep going till the well is dry. Im REALLY hoping this lines goes far enough for us to get a Johnny Depp Barnabas Collins from Tim Burtons new "Dark Shadows" movie. Johnny Depp as a vampire? YES PLEASE!

And I REALLLLLY want HT to go back and do a new Edward Scissorhands. Now that they seem to have Johnnys likeness rights secured.

I knew hed be close to the $200 mark. :rotfl

Expect a few bucks on top of this from US sellers. Makes you wonder how the rest of the Depp line will round out price-wise... in 2011 we have 2 Depp figures each costing 200+...

I am happy to pass on this one, but Willy Wonka and the Mad Hatter might prove harder to resist, ditto Ichabod Crane.

..on another note, does this forum need a dedicated 'Johnny Depp' section? Our Johnny Depp cup is about to runneth over :lol

Yeah a Johnny Depp forum section! Make it happen mods. :lol

too lazy to read back all the comments, so dont know if this has been mentioned before, but here is my 2 cents:

- godfather came with a chair also, and that one retailed for only $130. what has changed since then that this one has to cost almost double?

- much better depp's likeness than ht's sparrow, but have you guys noticed how looong the neck is on this one? look at the distance between the head and the shoulder. even if you put all the layers of clothes on him, his shoulder still looks half an inch lower than normal.

- they picked the wrong tt body to showcase this guy. too skinny. they do that because of all the layers of clothes, i know, but the fig still come across too skinny, while (material used for) the clothes look too thick.

personally, i think sweeney todd is a much better film than the 3 burton films you mentioned above. and johnny depp is brilliant in it... well, more brilliant than usual.

I love everything Depp. So its hard for me to decide on which characters of his I like better. But basing it solely on costume design alone, My top three favorites are Jack Sparrow, Edward Scissorhands and the Mad Hatter designs are all great. Sweeney here would be number four on the list. :)

Confession: I haven't seen Sweeney Todd.

..this is mainly due to the fact that I really have some issues with Tim Burton as a film maker, and I have to steel myself for when I eventually commit 2 hours of my life to yet another Johnny Depp/Helena Bonham Carter number.

Having said that, I love the character design of the Mad Hatter and Willy Wonka in particular, so this will likely be enough to have me pick these up. Hell, not even having seen Sweeny Todd, not being a huge Depp fan and not at all being a Tim Burton fan - and I was still tempted by this figure. What can I say, I'm a sucker for great character design...

Sweeney Todd is one of Burtons better films.

Good point. Their figures sale out even while the price continues to increase. They will capitalize long as they can I suppose :dunno

less love for mad hatter(alice is one of depp's worst movie after all), and more love for these guys please:
